Sophie Jenkins

Sophie Jenkins is the International Programs Officer at Mary MacKillop International (MMI) where she coordinates MMI’s health, education and livelihoods programs in Papua New Guinea and Peru. Prior to joining MMI, Sophie held a number of volunteer and intern roles with a focus on gender equity, including an internship with the Australian National Committee for UN Women in 2013. Sophie also undertook a six-month internship with EduCare India where she was involved in the design and implementation of community-led initiatives designed to promote greater political, social and economic participation for rural women. Sophie has a Masters in International Development, Refugee Studies and Forced Migration and a Bachelor of International Studies (Development) both from the University of New South Wales.
