Launch of the 2024 Emerging Leaders Dialogue Outcomes Report

The Lowy Institute's Australia–Papua New Guinea Network is pleased to launch the 2024 Emerging Leaders Dialogue Outcomes Report, Emerging Leaders, Enduring Bonds: Australia-Papua New Guinea relations, on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.

The youth of Australia and Papua New Guinea's populations are consistently growing in size and their role as instruments in fostering collaboration and stronger ties between both nations. The 2024 Emerging Leaders Dialogue explored the opportunities of youth in education, employment and civic engagement. As a way forward to enhance the participation of youth in this process, the leaders have developed actionable recommendations aimed at empowering youth, strengthening economic ties, and fostering long-term resilience of the bilateral relationship.

The launch event will feature speeches from some of our emerging leaders, the Australian High Commission, Young Professionals Network of Papua New Guinea, and the Aus-PNG Network.

Please join us for an evening of networking and conversations with emerging leaders, past and present, as we explore the important role of youth in stronger Australia-Papua New Guinea relations. The event will offer attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and contributors to the report.
