PNG's National Museum and Art Gallery hosts an exhibition of the striking art installation a Bit Na Ta. The exhibition documents and celebrates the history of the Tolai people of East New Britain.
The video-music-art installation a Bit na Ta is on exhibition at the PNG National Museum and Art Gallery. The display showcases the history of the Tolai people of East New Britain through history and colonisation through to the modern era. The project features the community's history and traditions with video, moving image, music and song performed by George Telek and David Bridie, artefacts and contemporary works by artist Lisa Hilli. The project is the vision of the late historian and cultural expert Gideon Kakabin.
