Gary Juffa MP, Governor of Oro Province and Leader of the People’s Movement for Change Party, in conversation with Jonathan Pryke, Director of the Pacific Islands Program at the Lowy Institute. Gary Juffa is the Governor of Oro Province and Leader of the People’s Movement for Change Party in Papua New Guinea. Since being elected to office in 2012, Governor Juffa has been an outspoken representative asking tough questions on politics and governance, leadership and the environment.
 
Jonathan Pryke is Director of the Pacific Islands Program at the Lowy Institute. Jonathan has published widely on many aspects of the Pacific Islands, including economic development, Australia’s relationship with the Pacific, the role of aid and the private sector in Pacific Islands development and labour mobility.
